Workshops and Tuitions

Knowledge gained over thirty five years of writing, performing and making music taught privately (one to one) or in public institutions (schools, prisons, clubs, libraries and cultural centres).

Topics covered for all age groups include:

Creative writing and Performance poetry.

Vocals and singing

Percussion and drumming (African and Latin American rhythms)

Guitar, song-writing, composition and music theory.

Workshops can be short or long term residencies with specified themes.

Freddy has worked in specific projects with many organisations and individual artists.

A few examples of long term collaborations in the past decade:

1-African- Brasilian percussion and music with "Caipirinha Appreciation Society" with UK based Brasilian monthly magazine, "Jungle Drums" across London night clubs between 2002 -2005. Aim of project was to bring percussion closer to the people. Collaborating with Brazilian drummer, percussionist and programmer, Marcelo Vig of Rhythmcraft.net. Wig has worked with the likes of Eminem, Gilberto Gil, Will Smith, Avril Lavigne, Jason Donovan, Bishi, to name a few. The project was produced by Brazilian journalist, DJ and photographer Mickey Coelho (also known as Mdc Suingue).

2-Greenwich based "Global Fusion Music and Arts" brings together artists of various nationality and multiple talent. Global Fusion has organised World Music nights, released an anthology of World Music album, worked with local communities in South London and in schools all over London. Freddy has been part of Global Fusion since 2001. In November 2009 he was involved in organising, leading and playing music and poetry during the London Jazz Festival in Greenwich.

3- "World Beaters"- specialises in teaching music and percussion to children under five years in a very visual style. Since 2008 Freddy involved in teaching African percussion and music at a Dulwich Nursery with Grenada percussionist and Djembe player, Gwang.
